Progression from one level to the next is determined at the end of each term. Students are assessed throughout the term, and promotion to another level is confirmed using the following criteria:

  • Graded coursework (i.e. homework, quizzes, classwork, etc.)
  • Lab exercises
  • Common tests and final exam


Progression from MATH 094 to MATH 100 is determined at the end of each term. The student must have a minimum overall average grade of 70% for course work and common assessments to advance to the next level. The student who does not have an overall course average of 70% will be required to repeat the level.

Progression from MATH 095 to the MATH 096 is determined at the end of each term. The student must have a minimum overall average grade of 70% for course work and common assessments to advance to the next level. The student who does not have an overall course average of 70% will be required to repeat the level.

Progression from MATH 096 to the MATH 111 (Business majors) or MATH 122 (MCM majors) is determined at the end of each term. The student must have a minimum overall average grade of 70% for course work and common assessments to advance to the next level. The student who does not have an overall course average of 70% will be required to repeat the level.

Progression from MATH 098 to MATH 131 is determined at the end of each term. The student must have a minimum overall average grade of 70% for course work and common assessments to advance to the next level. The student who does not have an overall course average of 70% will be required to repeat the level.
